My 1st mirrorless camera, an Oly E-P1, is in Utah waiting its turn to have its factory hot-mirror replaced with an 830nm filter.
I enjoy taking pictures of the desert with infrared converted cameras, but not when it's 110F outside, so maybe my camera will return at the same time the weather cools down
Since manufacturers have stopped placing distances and infrared focusing information on the lenses themselves, it would be nice if they would at least add the hyperfocal setting to their list of functions. I don't expect them to pay much attention to the needs of infrared users (a small market), but I could 'tweek' the focus from there. Currently, I use the AF to help me set the hyperfocal distance by standing a known distance from a saguaro.
Maybe someday I will be able to write 'plug-ins' for my cameras..![]()
